Studio Outtakes

In 2001, we recorded a number of songs in Heiko Brockmann’s studio in Hamburg. Danielle (aka Mole) played bass, keyboards and sang backing vocals and lead vocals on her first song contribution to Everpure “The Thinking Man”, while I did all other lead vocals, guitar, keyboards and rhythm programming.

This was the period, in which we worked quite a lot on optimising our singer/songwriter sound towards something that would rather suit a full band. And it already showed a few hints of what would later become the back-to-the-roots electronic influences on programmed beats and clicks and sequenced synths. During this period, we also played live at the MarX (a small venue at Hamburg’s Markthalle), together with our friend and Luxuskünstler HaWe on keyboards.

  2. Never Forget
  3. Stuck To The Ground
  4. The Thinking Man
  5. These Moments

The sound got a little bit bigger, and so did the venues – we played our only concert at MarX, which is the smaller sidekick to Markthalle in Hamburg. The photos were also taken by Miriam Yousif-Kabota:
