We began as duo – only Eggi and me – and before we were about to play our first concert, we met Sven, who immediately fit into the band with his great attitude and energy. We called ourselves Screaming Fools, which we probably came up with on one of our drives home from rehearsals, when Sven and I listened to the rough recordings we had made at Eggi’s place and discussed everythiing and dreamt of becoming rock stars. Sven organised most of our concerts through the years, so we can be happy to say that we played almost every club venue in Hamburg during the years 1990-93. Marco came in quite quickly after the first concert, basically because Eggi knew him and we thought it would be much more fun with him on bass instead of a sequencer playing boring pre-recorded bass notes.

In summer 1991 we recorded a self-produced and independently released EP, with some significant production help from Dirk Karsten, at Impuls Studio in Hamburg. These are some files directly taken from one of the vinyls, hence the slightly lo-fi quality (yes, we produced 500 pieces of 12″ vinyl records to sell and distribute!)
