So, another year full of great music is over – and I’d like to share my personal favourites with you here. It’s a bit later than all those professional magazines, blogs and other media – but hey! I’m just running this site for fun. Anyway, I tried to find a place on the web for each song, so you could listen to those you might not know yet.

And by the way, it’s not a ranking, I just put the songs into an order that sounded good to me – like a mixtape in the good old days of cassette tapes… Enjoy it – and let me know if you like it!

  2. James Blake – Limit To Your Love
  3. Emika – Count Backwards

The anatomy of melancholy.

Last weekend, I visited the I’ll Be Your Mirror festival in London, curated by Portishead and All Tomorrow’s Parties. Besides a number of fantastic concerts (particularly Helen Money, Thought Forms and Portishead themselves), I got the chance to see an almost two hours gig played by Godspeed You! Black Emperor, who just reunited in 2010 after a quite long break since about 2003. I must admit that this was the most amazing show I’ve seen in a very, very long time. Overwhelmingly, physically massive. Simply stunning. Brilliant. Fantastic. Amazing.

Soffie Viemose – Hvis du vil.
