A beautiful early autumn Sunday morning – perfectly suited to record some dreamy vocals for the Heathen Dust album.

So, I guess it’s time to share that music with the rest of the world and get out of that closet that is my humble personal blog. I moved my songs to my SoundCloud page and added them within a player widget on the Heathen Dust page.

Not only is there a new song (it’s called Villa Kunterbumms and sports a mixture of  some Dubstep-style bass with lush strings and some quite big drums) up on my Heathen Dust project – I’ve also received some really fantastic vocal demos from Lou Lou Mais (for La Cruelle Mathematique de la Passion) and from Mole (for Wake Up The Girl) this weekend. We’re now working on all the fine tuning and recording to make them just perfect, but I can already here promise that they’ll do some really awesome vocal melodies for these songs. I’m so much looking forward to hear what you think about them!

While working with these songs, I’ve also done a few improvements here and there to some of the other demos, so give it a listen too if you haven’t done so just recently.

Well, and another song that will come with some great lyrics from Lou Lou Mais is the good old You Know What You Got, which goes back to a demo that she did for our band The Hmn in 2010. Back in the days, we never really got to finish this song, but since it’s such a sticky groove and magic melody, I simply had to pick it up again and get it finished. So, look forward to hearing some more lyrics here too very soon!

So, the summer is about to being over some time soon. But to ease your pain when you’re cycling in the dirty city rain, there is some new music in my Heathen Dust album. It’s called “Sommermenü”, which is almost the same in English: summer menu. Well, you might think that doesn’t make sense, but don’t worry – it does. Enjoy the new song.

Well, I’m about to leave on summer vacation. So I just wanted to let you know that there is some new music around here. I’ve added a few demos to the Heathen Dust page, and also a lot of random stuff to those history pages too.

I just added a bunch of pictures, stories, music and a few videos to the archives. So, please feel free to browse through the pages and enjoy that nostalgia feeling. There’s a lot more to come – it just takes some time to get transferred from the analog world into the digital domain. Stay tuned!
